Merry X'mas

Last night (24th), I had a big X'mas party with my family and friends. We played some Xbox 360 together! XD

We invited two other friends' families and had a potlach. Family A cooked a huge ass turkey . . . Yum I feel Canadian haha! They prepared two sauce: cranberry sauce and gravy. I am not too into those kind of sweets for food like turkey, so for the whole mea,l I had only gravy. Family A also brought a bottle of wine (a very good one, too. Their daughter is studying in Poznan and she brought the wine from Poznan) and some steamed sweet potatoes (yam) and baked potatoes with butter and basil. They were delicious xD! Family B brought baked salmon (asian style). The fish stench was a bit too strong. I thought it would could've been perfect, if the fish stench could be reduced more. Another dish was cracker with cucumber, shrimp, and mushroom on top. They looked pretty. Very eye catching <3.

I was responsible for preparing soup so I decided to make miso soup. XD yum yum . . . I used salmons, too. But instead of adding raw salmons into the soup, I fried them first. First, I cut them into strips and then marinated with salt, soy sauce and white pepper. Next, before I fried them, I wrapped strips with flour. Then I fried them until they were ready to eat. :D For the soup, I had some tofu, miso, and white turnip (I think that's how you call those . . . LOL). I also added some sushi vinegar. Then add the fish strips before drinking the soup! YUMMM ^^

Because family A and B were both late, I decided to make some tomato salad real fast. I cut tomatoes into slices and had green lettuce underneath the spreaded tomato slices. The salad dressing was simple, too. Some grinded garlic, lemon juice, and wasabi paste. YES WASABBBBBBBBBBI. It was a Japanese style salad ^^v RIGHT SATOMI? :P

Anyway, it was a fun night. And it's good to see everyone again. Mommy came back from Taiwan two days ago!!! :D

Merry X'mas and Happy New Year! My friends :)
